St. Mary
Band Rehearsals: The band rehearsals, are being held every Tuesday at 7:30pm at the St. Mary Band Club's main concert hall. Great thanks to Mro. Charles Mizzi and all our local musicians for their participation & cooperation. |

On the 5-12-09 our Society lost one of it's young active members: Mario Farruġia. 7-12-2009 Funeral; At 2:00pm the St. Mary Band accompanied the ‘corteo’ from Eucharistic Congress road, corner with Anglu Gatt Street, to Rotunda Square. St. Mary School of
Music: Those who wish to learn a musical instrument, either e-mail us, or visit the St. Mary Band club on Tuesdays from 7:00pm till 8:30pm. Lessons are free of charge. Music lessons are being held every Tuesday and Saturday thanks to our music teachers Mro. C. Mizzi and Mro. J. Sultana. |

In respect to our
young active member Mario Farrugia: For this year, the Santa Marija Philharmonic Society is going to participate only on the 14 & 15th. of August during the procession of St Mary. The Grand Annual Concert, the Morning March & the vast aerial and mechanical ground fireworks displays planned for this year's feast were all cancelled. |

10 Years Ta' L-Istilla Youth Section: As part of the celebrations of the 10th. Anniversary of the “Ta’ L-Istilla” youth section, within our Society, the members donated a ‘Mosta flag’, which measures 26 x 40 feet, for the club’s main flagpole. Mario and Steven, which are two local bandsmen with our same Society, were commissioned by this section to be responsible for both the design and the making of the flag. This flag was another great success as it was the Major Flag done by Jeffrey Galea, another active member within our Society, in 2005 for the great celebrations done for the 100 anniversary of our Society.
